With the release of HBO Max's Zack Snyder's Justice League edging ever closer, Snyder has now begun to explain the probability of Man of Steel following a similar path with a director's cut.

On Film Junkee Vodka Stream, the question was raised as to whether Snyder has any plans for Man of Steel and its own form of director's cut. Reflecting on the final product, Snyder seemed to suggest there were few cut scenes. He stated that it was pretty much "exactly what I wanted to do."

"There was only a few scenes that we deleted… it wasn't anything that I think would change the movie," Snyder added. "That movie is pretty much, it is what it is, and I love it... It's kind of exactly the size that it was, for me, that I wanted it to be."

As Snyder's first entry into the DC Extended Universe, 2013's Man of Steel introduced Henry Cavill as the iconic Superman. While not met without criticism, the film was received largely positively and garnered enough good standing to warrant Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which introduced Ben Affleck's Batman. In the film, Kal El/Clark Kent donned the cape for the first time in order to combat the invading Kryptonian squad led by General Zod, played by Michael Shannon. The film also introduced other important characters to the DCEU, such as Amy Adam's Lois Lane.

Such questions are being aimed towards Snyder due to the traction that the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement gained online. The movement finally got its requested director's cut in May, with Zack Snyder's Justice League heading to HBO Max in 2o21. With the original having lost many of Snyder's choices during production, the Snyder Cut is set to reintegrate various lost scenes, as well as a few new additions as the cast has returned for reshoots.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
