On Nov. 14, Trump Supporters rallied on D.C.'s Pennslyvania Avenue in support of re-electing President Trump to govern the United States. During the Million MAGA (Make America Great Again) March, protestors stood outside D.C.'s John A. Wilson Building, the official statehouse and city hall of D.C. They demonstrated with American flags, posters with the "America First" slogan and one person dressed up as The Boys' character Homelander in a Trump mask. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, actor Antony Starr (Homelander), and The Boys comic series' co-creator Darick Robertson were incredibly confused about the use of Homelander in the protest and wanted to make it clear for fans on Twitter that Homelander is the villain.RELATED: Homelander Murders the Avengers, Faces Thanos in Bloody The Boys/MCU Mash-Up

Showrunner Eric Kripke posted the photo of the rally with the caption, "Um... are they actually watching the show?" He also tagged actor Antony Starr, who plays Homelander on The Boys. He replied to the event with the comment, "The art of ignorant dumbfuckerry."

The Boys was originally a comic created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. In the Amazon Prime show, as well as in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic, Homelander's character creates chaos, not justice. He's a warped re-imagining of Superman, using his colossal powers to gain favor and control others, rather than use them to make humanity a better place. If he can't get what he wants, he often resorts to murder and then more murder.

Comic series' co-creator Darick Robertson also saw the protest's use of Homelander and replied on Twitter. "These doofuses don’t even understand that ‘Homelander’ is the bad guy," he wrote.

Virtual tours of the building are available and welcomed during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
