The recent coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has already caused several upcoming films to delay their premieres, including The New Mutants, Wonder Woman 1984 and Black Widow. Now, it appears that films much further down the line may experience premiere date delays as well, such as The Batman and The Matrix 4.

According to Variety's sources, these films, along with Red Notice and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will likely hold off production until at least mid-May. It was also said that these delays would likely cause scheduling conflicts with actors. Right now, it is unclear when production for these films will actually be able to restart.

Both The Batman and The Matrix 4 managed to get much of their filming done before the coronavirus came to a head -- The Batman, for example, had completed seven weeks of filming -- though it is still uncertain whether they will make their projected premiere dates. Other film productions with uncertain production dates include Jurassic World: Dominion, Mission: Impossible 7 and Uncharted.
