Recent films about the heroes and villains of the DC universe haven’t exactly had the best critical reception. Of the last six theatrically released DC films, only two (Wonder Woman and The Lego Batman Movie) are unmitigated critical successes. But that changes with the release of the upcoming Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. Based on the hit Cartoon Network show, the film has premiered on Rotten Tomatoes with a whopping 100% positive score.

Based on the popular (and very silly) Teen Titans Go!, the film centers around Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy as they try to get their own blockbuster movie. Standing in the way is a director with no interest in their goofy hijinks, as well as the long awaited introduction of the Teen Titans Go! version of Slade aka Deathstroke.

Critics from Variety, The Playlist, the New York Observer and other major publications have given the animated film rave reviews. The critics all agree that the movie proves surprisingly clever, mocking superheroes and Hollywood relentlessly.
