After watching Tony Stark deliver an apparent final message from a spaceship where he's seemingly hours away from death in the Avengers: Endgame trailer, Marvel fans are anxiously awaiting any kind of hint about his survival.

Now, Robert Downey Jr. seems to have revealed one major clue about Iron Man's final fate while promoting the new Audi e-tron GT Concept car in a new commercial.

In the advertisement, Downey  talks cars with Audi's Head of Design, Marc Lichte. When Downey Jr. says he needs to drive the new model, Lichte points out, "You have driven it already!", prompting the Iron Man actor to look straight at the camera and say, "Well, I mean I...as Tony Stark in Avengers 4, out in theaters in spring 2019, I did, but this is us now, buddy."

Judging from his emphasis on the movie's release, he wants to make it extra clear that he and the car will both be appearing. And this is hardly the first time an Audi vehicle has appeared in a Marvel Studios movie. Downey's Stark has driven Audi cars, specifically the Audi R8, in all of Iron Man's solo films and in a few of his other appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Since Tony can't go on to drive an Audi if he dies in space, this could be revealing news. On the other hand, there are ample opportunities for the scene with the car to appear in a flashback or dream sequence. Instead of happening at the beginning of the movie, Tony's doomed space journey could even occur after he's already returned to Earth.

Either way,  Tony Stark will drive a car in the next Avengers movie, and he'll probably have to get back to Earth before he does it.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L.
