Jim Lee continues his coronavirus chart sketch relief effort, this time tackling Sandman's Death.
The sketch is the 29th drawing Lee has done for charity. The famed comic artist plans to do 6o drawings to benefit comic shops through the Book Industry Charitable Foundation. The winner of the three-day auction will get a chance to select the next character Lee draws. The current bid on eBay is $15,004.
This is not the first time Lee has dove into the Sandman universe for his charity auctions. He drew Morpheus/Sandman back in mid-April. The sketch sold for $13,200.
And it is not just Lee who is turning to the Sandman universe to raise money for charity. Arthur Adams also drew Death in late April and sold it for over $20,000.
Created by Neil Gaiman, Mike Dringenberg and Malcolm Jones III, Death first appeared in 1989's Sandman #8. The popularity of the character led to her starring in two of her own limited series: Death: The High Cost of Living and Death: The Time of Your Life. She also received her own graphic novel, Death: At Death's Door.
