The Suicide Squad director James Gunn has officially offered confirmation that the film will have an R-rating.

A fan on social media recently mentioned that they hoped The Suicide Squad would have an R-rating, to which Gunn responded with "Yes it’s rated R." This means the film will be joining the ranks of other R-rated comic book films, including 2016's Deadpool, 2017's Logan and 2018's Deadpool 2.
