Marvel's delayed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 may have found a working title ahead of a potential 2021 start date.

Intended as the final chapter in James Gunn's trilogy, the future of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was thrown into doubt in July, following the filmmaker's firing by Disney over years-old offensive tweets. Despite outcry from Gunn's fans and colleagues, the studio has stuck by its decision, and indefinitely delayed the film in August while it assessed how to move forward.

But now, a listing on Production Weekly indicates Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3's has acquired a working title, even as it remains in a holding pattern: "Hot Christmas." Although such titles occasionally offer insight into films, there may not be much meaning to be gleaned from deciphering this one.

That said, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 had the working title of "Guardians 3000," a nod to the comic featuring the original team, and famously included a cameo by the first iteration of the Guardians. The Avengers was dubbed "Group Hug," while Captain America: The Winter Soldier carried the working title of "Freezer Burn."

With Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper presumably locked into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, prepare for more news in the coming months.
