Denis Villeneuve's Dune reboot has added Ant-Man and the Wasp star David Dastmalchian.

According to Deadline, Dastmalchian will portray Piter De Vries. The character, played by Brad Dourif in the original movie, is a Mentat -- a human trained to perform mental functions rivaling computers.

Dastmalchian appeared in both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp as Kurt, a member of Scott Lang's crew. He is the hacker who helped Lang pull of heists in the first movie and worked in his security firm in the sequel. Dastmalchian got his start in Hollywood as one of Joker's henchmen in The Dark Knight. In 2017, he also worked with director Denis Villeneuve on Blade Runner 2049, portraying lab tech Coco.

Dastmalchian is just the latest in a long list of stars to join Villeneuve's Dune reboot. Timothee Chalamet, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson and Thanos himself Josh Brolin are already signed to the film.

Based on the novel by Frank Herbert, the first Dune film was written and directed by David Lynch in 1984. The story follows Paul Atreides, whose family owns a desert planet. He finds himself forced to lead a rebellion to retake it once a rival noble family betrays them.

The Dune reboot is directed by Denis Villeneuve and stars Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Jessica Atreides, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Stellan Skarsgard as Vladimir Harkonnen, Charlotte Rampling as Reverend Mother Mohiam, Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto, Javier Bardem as Stilgar and the recently confirmed Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck. The movie hits theaters on Nov. 20, 2020.
