Universe 6 brought not just one Namekian, but two Namekians to the Tournament of Power. Saonel and Pilina initially avoided fighting, only emerging after the tournament's halfway point. Because Saonel and Pilina had fused with their entire Namekian race prior to the start of the tournament, their bodies needed time to adjust.

Goku saw fighting Caulifla as a mentorship opportunity, recognizing Caulifla's potential. While Caulifla initially didn't know how to re-obtain her Super Saiyan 2 ability, simply watching Goku transform was enough for her to reach that level again — a form that required Cabba to be on the brink of elimination to achieve.

When the two Saiyans fuse into Kefla in an act of desperation, Kefla proves to be a formidable foe.

Toppo fights for justice, and his hate for Goku sits at an all-time high because he's the one who proposed the Tournament of Power. Toppo eventually taps into his God of Destruction powers, almost killing Frieza in the process. It takes Vegeta nearly sacrificing his life to eliminate this powerful adversary.

3 Vegeta Kept Digging Deeper And Deeper Into His Well Of Power

Vegeta from Dragon Ball Super activates His Super saiyan God transformation.

The Saiyan Prince has always played second fiddle to Goku, but in the Tournament of Power, he became the most thrilling character to watch. Vegeta's relationship with Cabba was brilliant to see and so was his sacrifice to give Goku a chance against Jiren.

Everyone presumed Goku was dead. However, he returned with a new look that was described by Beerus as the Ultra Instinct. This was a form even some Gods struggled to reach. When Goku completed this level, he dominated Jiren. Goku was about to beat Jiren when his body gave up and completely broke down.

1 Jiren Was Clearly The Strongest Mortal In The Tournament Of Power

Jiren undergoes meditation training in Dragon Ball Super.

Jiren was unquestionably the toughest opponent Goku had ever come up against. The difference in both their power levels was massive. When they first fought, Jiren was beating Goku without breaking a sweat. Even against Goku's Ultra Instinct, Jiren kept up for the most part, proving how powerful he was.

Jiren won in the end, but not the way he would've hoped. Because he sustained his power longer than Goku could, forcing his opponents to go to great lengths, Jiren established himself as the strongest mortal in the Tournament of Power.
