Future Trunks is a fan favorite character in the Dragon Ball universe and while he was sparingly used in Dragon Ball Z, he’s made a strong return in Dragon Ball Super and many video games.
Future Trunks accomplishes great things in Super, but Heroes rewards his growing strength. Xeno Trunks becomes a Super Saiyan God, which makes him powerful support for both Xeno Goku and Vegeta. Xeno Trunks becomes a Super Saiyan 3 too, but the God status is more impressive and exclusive to Heroes.
8 Golden Cooler Perfects His Brother’s Specialty
The Dragon Ball Heroes anime is exciting for the many different versions of the main characters that it throws together, but it’s also an excuse for many of Dragon Ball’s most beloved movie villains to return in a major way. Cooler, Frieza’s brother, is one of the more popular movie antagonists and he’s appeared on multiple occasions, just like Frieza.
Dragon Ball Heroes features a Golden version of not only Cooler’s upgraded transformation, but also a Golden take on Metal Cooler. Both are incredibly powerful, albeit in slightly different ways.

Fusion is a major concept that radically changed the Dragon Ball universe. Gohan is one of the most frustrating situations in the Dragon Ball universe, considering that he’s introduced with infinite potential that’s slowly wasted over time. Gohan’s importance decreases by the end of Dragon Ball Z, which makes it particularly exciting when Dragon Ball Heroes tries something new with the character.
Admittedly, this is Xeno Gohan, but the character’s look is largely the same. Heroes’ manga has Xeno Gohan achieve both Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan 4 status and he’s able to properly fight alongside his family.
4 Janemba Black Brings Back A Classic Villain In A Dangerous Way
Fusion Reborn is one of the more popular Dragon Ball Z movies not only because it marks the first appearance of Gogeta, but also because the villain, Janemba, is so unusual. Janemba has a chilling character design that’s good enough to be in the proper series and it’s exciting that Dragon Ball Heroes realizes his potential. Janemba receives a substantial boost in power with his new Janemba Black form.
His unpredictable attacks become even more dangerous. If Janemba ever does make a proper return then this revised version of the villain will hopefully be utilized.
3 Super Saiyan 4 Bardock Fights For His Son’s Future
Dragon Ball occasionally turns the clock back and shines a light on Goku and Vegeta’s ancestors, Bardock and King Vegeta. In the anime and manga, these characters never achieved power that was anywhere close to their children. However, Dragon Ball Heroes knows that these characters are popular and tries to make them relevant.
Xeno Bardock, from the future, transforms into not only a Super Saiyan 3, but also a Super Saiyan 4 during his battle against Xeno King Vegeta. It’s a climactic showdown that’s reserved for Dragon Ball Heroes’ manga and games, but it’s a thrilling scene.
2 Ultimate Goten Hints At A Fascinating Power Decision
One of the bigger events during Dragon Ball Z’s Buu Saga is Gohan’s time spent training with Old Kai, who ultimately unlocks his potential and helps him become Ultimate Gohan. Gohan doesn’t do a ton with this new transformation, but Dragon Ball Heroes attempts to return to this well.
Heroes’ older version of Goten, Xeno Goten, goes through the same procedure with Old Kai and becomes Ultimate Gohan so that he can take on the demon Demigra. This happens outside of the Heroes anime, but it’s still one of the most exciting variations on a classic character.
1 Super Saiyan 4 Broly Masters Unruly Power
One of the most recent episodes of Dragon Ball Heroes brings Broly back into the mix and shows just how dangerous he can be against a Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 version of a fused Saiyan. Broly has always been an overpowered character, but Heroes pushes him further than he’s ever been before when he achieves Super Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker status.
The look is somewhat awkward on Broly, but it allows him to hold his own against a Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 at the same time.
