Comic Book Resources -- the leading Web site for comics news, commentary and community -- is excited to announce another year of wall-to-wall coverage of New York Comic Con. Throughout the weekend, CBR’s team will bring readers the latest news straight from the con floor and live from the most crucial discussion panels, as well as numerous exclusive announcements and last minute surprises."For the third year in a row, we are pleased that CBR is going to be reporting on NYCC,” said Lance Fensterman, Vice President and Show Manager of New York Comic Con. “The fact that CBR has come from its West Coast base every year to spread the word about NYCC says a great deal about the pull and importance of both our organizations beyond the region in which we are located."“This is the third New York Comic Con and our third year covering the show, and I truly believe this will be the best one yet,” said Jonah Weiland, Executive Producer of CBR. “We’re adding a number of new features to our coverage, which when coupled with the recent revamping of our Web site makes this a very exciting event.”One of CBR’s new NYCC features is a time-lapse video feed of the convention floor that will broadcast all weekend long. Every hour, CBR will publish a new one-minute video of time-lapse photography taken during the previous hour, putting fans at home as close as is virtually possible to all the convention action. Of course, NYCC attendees are encouraged to join in the fun by creating signs to hold up for the CBR camera and the world to see!

CBR will have a booth at this year’s New York Comic-Con, #1764, and the site’s invited some good friends to help man it: Avatar Press. “I'm thrilled to be working with CBR on running our first-ever joint convention booth,” said Avatar President and Publisher William Christensen. “With the stunning new site redesign, CBR is better than ever and with our killer line of upcoming books, I think Avatar is going to be more exciting than ever before, so it is a match made in Heaven. I know our mutual excitement will make for the coolest booth at NYCC!”

To celebrate this partnership, Avatar Press is offering an Exclusive CBR/NYCC Edition of Warren Ellis’ “Anna Mercury” #1 with a new cover by series artist Facundo Percio, limited to just 1500 copies. And on Saturday afternoon, writer Mike Wolfer will be a special guest of CBR and Avatar, signing at the booth and promoting “Gravel” and the newly announced “Wolfskin” series.Added NYCC’s Lance Fensterman, “The con is excited to work with CBR on some creative projects to cover the show from new angles this year, and we look forward to doing even more creative collaborations in the years to come.”What new creative angles will be explored in addition to the show’s time-lapse video feed?
