Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced several new DC animated movies at San Diego Comic-Con 2022.

After premiering the new Green Lantern: Beware My Power movie for attending fans at the convention, film publicist Gary Miereanu spoke on what they can expect in the future. CBR was present for the SDCC panel where Miereanu mentioned previously announced projects like Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons and RWBY x Justice League, before revealing the following film titles: Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, Legion of Super-Heroes and Justice League: Warworld.

Battle of the Super Sons was first announced at DC FanDome 2021 and released its first trailer in late June 2022, the film slated to go on sale this October. The RWBY x Justice League movie was announced the same week that the trailer released, inspired by the limited comic book crossover series written by Marguerite Bennett. However, neither of these films appear to be in the continuity of the new film universe that DC Animation is building up.

DC Animation's "Tomorrowverse" Explained

The former DC Animated Movie Universe that began with 2013's Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox ended in 2020 with Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. The release of Superman: Man of Tomorrow in 2020 marked the beginning of a new animated movie universe, nicknamed the "Tomorrowverse," of which Beware My Power, Justice Society: World War II (2021) and Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One (2021) and Part Two (2021) are a part of.

Did Jensen Ackles Previously Tease These New DC Movies?

Earlier in 2022, Supernatural alum and The Boys actor Jensen Ackles -- who voices this universe's Bruce Wayne/Batman -- revealed that he was working on a new DC project, though he didn't give any specific details on it. "Well, there is... there is a DC property that I'm currently developing right now with Warner Bros. and some other good partners that I've got my fingers crossed for," Ackles said. Whether the actor was referring to one of these projects, like The Doom That Came to Gotham or Justice League: Warworld, is unknown as of writing.

A post-credit scene for The Long Halloween, Part 2 shows Green Arrow/Oliver Queen and the Flash/Barry Allen appearing on Bruce Wayne's doorstep, hinting at the formation of the Justice League. The team's newly announced film points towards Mongul being a possible villain, being that Warworld is a weaponized, planet-sized satellite that Mongul controls in DC Comics.

Green Lantern: Beware My Power becomes available for home purchase on July 26, 2022.
