What Is American Horror Story: Double Feature's Plot?

Murphy confirmed that Double Feature will be made up of two mini-series, describing the installments as "two horrifying stories...one by the sea [and] one by the sand." The first is titled "Red Tide," while the second is "Death Valley." How exactly the two stories will intersect is not known at this time. The two parts will have different settings, with "Red Tide" having a sea-side location while "Death Valley" is by the desert.

As a result of the show's filming location, Provincetown, Massachusetts, there are theories Double Feature may be related to a real-life case known as the "Lady of the Dunes," an unsolved murder from 1974 in which the body of a decapitated woman washed up on shore in the area.

American Horror Story: Double Feature will see the return of a number of series regulars, including Sarah Paulson as TB Karen, Evan Peters as Austin, Finn Wittrock as Harry Gardener, Lily Rabe as Doris Gardener, Frances Conroy as Belle Noir, Leslie Grossman as Ursula, Billie Lourd as Lark, Adina Porter as Chief Burelson and Angelica Ross as The Chemist. Additionally, Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin has joined the franchise as Mickey, while contortionist Spencer Novich will play Pale Person.
